Windows Advanced Options Menu - Need Help

I am having a problem that I can't quite figure out the answer too so I thought I might get some inout here, here it is:

I recently moved and all my software if packed away somewhere unknown to me :( I tried to boot my Windows XP Home edition up on my laptop and all I get is the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" and no I am not pressing F8. I have tried all the boot options and it just returns me to the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" So, is there a way that I can get out of that menu to a command prompt so that I might be able to try and solve my problem there, or does anyone have a simpler answer then this?? I do not have any boot disks though I am frantically looking for them. PLEASE HELP!!

Try re-booting the machine and going into safe mode once
in safe mode click restart this might prompt windows to
boot into normal mode. Also verify you don't have a
sticky key.

When I try to boot it into safe mode it just goes back to the F8 menu, all options just return me to the F8 menu, perhaps the key is stuck down and I didn't knotice...I will take a look at it again and see.
