This is probably Microsoft's way of pushing 98 users
toward a newer OS. The sincere sigh: "Gee, we'd LIKE to
help you, but we can't devote resources to ... blah, blah,
blah ..."
more than happy to devote resources to removing resources,
though. (When it was Giant it _was_ compatible. - other
than that they haven't changed much yet)

Simply put. No. Microsoft would gain nothing from
supporting a dying OS, they want to focus on the present
and that is 2000 and XP. They are still supporting 98 but
there will not be anything released for it as it will
eventually be phased out just like 95.
Might be Microsoft's way of getting you out of the
stoneage. Windows 98, comon give me a break.
