I have a favorite game that I am trying to install on W XP
Pro. I get a message that the game needs W95 to install.
Is there any way I can get it to install-short of having
2 operating systems. Thnx.

Hey Stingy
Right click on the setup file for your game and select properties. On the
compatibility tab select 'run this program in compatibility mode for' and
pick Windows 95 from the drop box. That may help you get the game installed.
You might also need to do something similar on the games shortcut once you
have it installed.

Hope that helps

Would have helped to know the name of the game, but try installing using
Compatibility Mode on the install.exe or setup.exe file on the CD itself.
Details of Compatibility usage are in Help and Support (search for
Compatibility) and in this information:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tr...et/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/lgcyapps.asp
Remember, once you get it installed, make sure you've visited the game's web
site to download and install any updates they have available. You most
likely will not need to use Compatibility with the updates.
