Windows XP windows 95, internet explorer and OE

Hello,

I am trying to update a Windows 95 system (or dinosaur).

It is not my choice but this is what I have to work with.

Can anyone tell me where I can get IE 5.5, IE6 is not compatible at all.

also as it was an ex company system they have removed Outlook Express, can annyone tell me where to download this from in the 5.5 version.

I would ideally like to download it in its entirity on to a CDROM and then run it in the 95 computer.

Any help greatly received.
 
thanks but no links to IE 5.5 or OE just trying to force IE6 on to you but that sall fine and well if the OS would allow it!
 
Microsoft said Thursday it has temporarily halted downloads for its Internet Explorer 5.5 Web browser while it updates the accompanying service pack.

The action comes as Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft suffers its third day of widespread outages, including problems at its flagship portal MSN.com, travel site Expedia, free e-mail service Hotmail and WindowsMedia.com. The company issued a statement late Thursday saying it was the target of a denial-of-service attack earlier in the day against the routers that direct traffic to the company's Web sites. A Microsoft representative said the IE 5.5 service pack update was unrelated to the outages.

IE6 is NOT compatable to run on Win95 ... download IE5 here then when MS get their servers in order, go and get the updates for it.

is there no such thing as "Windows Update" on windows 95 - shirley if you were to run that then it would pick up on all the updates you needed and automatically install them...?
