Windows 95 Boot-up

I accidently deleted some boot files from my PC and I can't boot up my
machine any longer. It's looking for a system disk and I don't have my
Windows 95 restore disks any longer.

My plan was to upgrade to Windows 98, but I can't do so unless I can
boot-up. I have another PC, so I can download any files that may be needed.

Any suggestions?

You should post this to a Windows 98 group,
this is a Windows Vista group.

Hi,

You've strayed some from the proper group, there are many to support Win95.
Download boot disk files from www.bootdisk.com, create the bootable floppy,
and run SYS C: from the prompt after booting with it.

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, I don't have a floppy drive on my
laptop, but I have a CD ROM. I downloaded the file you suggested, unzipped
it and added the files to the CD ROM. For some reason, I'm still getting the
same error "Invalid System Disk" when I try to boot from the CD ROM. Any
other suggestions?

Sorry, haven't used it in 10 years, and my memory of what to do is sort of
spotty.
