How do I set up alt.windows.general?

Also - are there any good Windows 7 forums that can be read by a
newsreader such as Eudora?

I know of a Windows 7 newsgroup. alt.windows7.general Check your local
newsserver to see if it has it.

First, you have to put the '7' back in the name.

Then you set it up like any other newsgroup that your newsgroup server
carries.

Consider alt.windows7.general :-)

Although it's a newsgroup, not a forum.

I think I'm getting cross-eyed. When I made my reply, I would swear there
wasn't another one there - but I see that your reply was posted 31 hours
earlier.

But now that I do see it, by looking at yours and mine, I can see that we
both have great minds :-)

I take it back, I'm not cross-eyed. Your reply appears in this newsgroup in
news.albasani.net but not in msnews.microsoft.com, which is where I read
and replied to David Crisp's post. I saw your post only a few minutes
later, when I looked in on Albasani as well.

Pretty odd, I think, but what the heck - we still have a pair of great
minds :-)

Not so odd, after all.

I looked, and my latest reply above is not on the MS server either. Now why
would that be?

Pretty simple, once I thought about it. The replies that were posted via
Albasani or another third-party news server are not going to be copied by
Microsoft, but the ones posted via the Microsoft server are going to be
copied by Albasani and other third party providers.
