I discovered that with Windows 7, when you press Shift + FN + an arrow key,
the display goes to pot. I searched for a feed-back e-mail address of
Microsoft, but there doesn't seem to be one.

I'd guess you need to look for a newer video driver. That key
combination is often used to rotate the screen. That's a function of
the video card, so it stands to reason that your current driver is not
sending the right command to the card.
