Confused

I am looking to buy a new tower unit with Windows 7 Premium installed. The
question I have is this:-

I am English but live in France. I would want to change the language on the
Operating sytem which would be bought in France to ENGLISH. Is it possible
does anyone know?

Also by changing the language to ENGLISH could I then use and ENGLISH
keyboard which is QWERTY. The French keyboards are AZERTY. Can anyone give me
a definitive answer please?

This newsgroup is for programming questions/comments relating to Microsoft's
".NET" platform.

Your question would most likely be best answered by any pc seller that you
intend to buy a pc from.

Wrong group, but here it goes.

Windows 7, like Vista, has multi-language bits built in. I am not sure
there is any difference between the "French" version and "English"
version other than the French installer selecting French on install.

As long as it ships with media, or an install partition, you should be
fine, no matter what, as you can reinstall. If they ship without media,
you might (or might not) be in a pickle.

I believe you can change languages after install in the computer
properties (have not tested this). If not, the worst case is
reinstalling windows and choosing English on the first screen of the
install.

Peace and Grace,
