If you read it on the official Microsoft web site then I would assume it to
be true.

There's the Key, "IF you read it." LOL! How hard is it to go to MS's
site and investigate it for one's self?? I am constantly amazed at the
laziness of people to find their own answers, (Easily I might add),
BEFORE posting a question. Anyway, YES, free upgrades will be offered
when buying a NEW, get it, NEW, not one bought two years ago, computer
with VISTA installed from various computer vendors. ..Just as it was
with XP and Vista. My God people, are you that helpless, you can't
research it for your selves? ..Sorry.. I just have NO patience for
ignorance lately...

G'day

Win7 is smaller, faster and no more demanding than Vista at least at
this release time.
While computer power has increased since Vista's release, this
guarantees that only antique machiens will have trouble.

Yes! And I have some nice swampland for sale in Arizona!

I do believe Win7 will alleviate 2 years of Vista pain... unless Ribbon
interface made its way into WinExplorer!!

I would not bet the ranch on it.

A visit from a Linux shill out of the Linux-Advocacy-COLA-asylum.

Well then, you should be rather dissatisfied with yourself. Or did you not
note that the link provided by the OP says "microsoft.com" as the root
domain? ;-) As I was pointing out to the OP, as he has seen it on the MS
web site he may assume it's true.

Um, sorry Richard. What I said was actually meant for the OP.
...All-be-it a bit A_holish. Bad day I guess. It cracks me up even more
that after going to MS's own site and reading it, the question is STILL
asked here. Amazing.

G'day

But not for CURRENT Vista Users - only those who buy a new pc with Vista
on it...

Except at your house where everything is FREE and works first time.
