So far, I have read that Windows 7 will be available to OEMs by the
holiday season this year 2009. Anybody else have a better guess?
Thanks.

After the Vista sales fiasco, I am sure they will push it out for Xmas,
ready or not.

In the meantime, you can get what Windows 7 is trying to imitate now:

I guess it will be generally available shortly after Microsoft announces the
"Release to Manufacturing" code has been completed.

Windows 7 will become available when Microsoft makes a formal announcement.

By the time the free beta expires.

So you're broke huh?
You must be linturd.

Have you always thought that money makes you special? And have you
always thought that poor people are beneath you? I guess you think that
all the companies that are going belly up are beneath you, eh what?

You are about the lowest low life I have ever met on the Net.

Nobody wants to use Ubuntu while they are waiting for Windows 7. If they
are using XP or Vista, they already have SOFTWARE that runs under Windows.
Why would they want to ditch that to run an INFERIOR OS written by geeks for
geeks? Doesn't make sense except for the linux retard fanboys in the WRONG
FORUM.

Imagine, Ubuntu is FREE and NOBODY wants it. Ubuntu has been free for years
and still is on less than ONE PERCENT of the desktop. That should tell you
all you need to know about that crappy OS.

Alias loves it because he doesn't do any computing so even a CRAPPY OS will
be OK for alias. For others who need to do real work, they need a real OS.

Get over it Alias. Now go smoke a bowl.

If you read who the post was generated by, I don't see a poster named Polly.
You are offering food to posters now? What an idiot. Do you really think
that anyone with a brain would want food that you give out? It would
probably be laced with some drug or some other disgusting thing you would
put in it.

Maybe you should power down your PC and toss it out the window.

You weren't expected to understand as that would take something you
don't have: maturity and intelligence.

You're the one who doesn't get it, Polly. Try Google or ask an educated
adult to explain it to you.

Not you, but your money...

True. Microsoft also likes Linux Lunatics who get unsuspecting users
to waste a lot of time and effort messing with Linux, only to realize
the hard way what intelligent users already know, that Linux is not
for personal computer users. I do not like to see users misled, and I
do not like to see Linux Lunatics making friends for Microsoft
(unwittingly or for whatever strange reason). Linux is a server
operating system. Most Linux users are more intelligent than that, and
they do not hang around here trying to convince average personal
computer users that Linux is the way to go. Either they are stupid,
trolls, or both... whatever.
