John Barnett MVP said:It won't have anti virus protection by default, no. You will need to
install a third party anti virus application. If you want something free
then you could try the free version of AVG or Avast.
The links other posters have provided refer to 'Morro' the replacement for
OneCare which was a separate application from Microsoft. OneCare itself
was never very popular, hence its swift removal. I haven't seen Morro so I
can't comment, but I gather it will be free. (unless there is a change of
mind at Microsoft)

currently use NOD32 but I certainly would use Norton or McAfee, both are system
hoggers.

Certainly would or certainly would not ( use Norton or McAfee )
John Barnett MVP said:Sorry Dinesh, it was the 'they all work fine' that threw me. If it had
said 'they all 'worked' fine then I would have understood that they were
not all running on the same machine simultaneously. Running them all
together would certainly have caused some fun
Thanks for clearing that up, my mistake.

I believe this is going to be a separate download. A beta will be availableof last week). When you shut down, all malware vanishes (unless you
wanted to save it).
