Greetings!

Wondering what happened to my log on screen. Before a user has to log on
first before he can use my pc, but now one can just turn the computer on and
windows will proceed automatically without showing the windows log screen.
Please help me how to reactivate the log on screen. Thank you very much!

The article in the link below will explain how autologon is enabled and thus
show you how to disable it. In your case you want to make sure user must
enter username and password is checked in Control Panel Users and
Passwords. --- Steve

Preventing the Password Prompt in a Non-Domain System
1. In Control Panel, double-click Users and Passwords.
2. Click to clear the Users must enter a user name and password to use
this computer check box.

NOTE: This option does not appear on a system that is a member of a
domain.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Click to clear the Require users to press Ctrl-Alt-Del before
logging on check box.

Hi, John!

(Lol!)

For me you two got the gold medal. Thanks a lot, Guys! Keep it up! Wishing
MS will not discontinue this newsgroup in the future. It is the only resource
we newbie can resort to when we have pc problems. Again, a million thanks to
you all!
