Hey gang. I've got a machine in my office which has
stopped keeping track of recently used documents. This
has happened in windows.. and also with our CAD program
both. AutoCad usually stores the last 5 or so drawings
which have been opened.. but starting a couple weeks ago
it stopped on this one machine in the office. I'm sure
it's a registry problem.. but I know very little about
them. BTW.. the user is set up as admin on the machine..

Any help would be greatly appriciated! TIA! -Andy

What happens if you logon as another (or new) user?

Just tried that on the machine. Under a different user
the system logs recently used files normally.
Unfortunatly I can't change the user to a diff user
login. Any ideas what would be causing this?

Possibly the profile is somehow corrupt. While logged on as local
administrator you can rename the corrupt profile. Then when the user next
logs on a new profile will be created from an image in \default user

You can then copy over the needed items from the old profile. Use the import
function of your mail software.

That idea had occured to me as well. However.. the cad
software is set up such that it runs only from the
administrator profile. (which is where I had the user set
up.) (renamed the admin profile to him) So any ideas on
how to salvage the admin profile?
