I have SBS2003 Fax setup and been running for 6 months + quite happily
routing faxes through both email and to sharepoint website.
Routing to sharepoint still works but routing through email recently
stopped. The only apparant changes on the server was a directx 9.0c update.
Event log is returning the following error when an incoming fax is recieved
and attempted to be routed
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Microsoft Fax
Event Category: Inbound
Event ID: 32083
Date: 12/10/2004
Time: 09:32:37
User: N/A
Computer: DONDRA3
Description:
Unable to route fax C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax\Queue\1C4B0331DDF4A.tif to the requested
e-mail address.
The following error occurred: 0x80040211
This error code indicates the cause of the error.
Check the SMTP server configuration, and correct any anomalies.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Can anyone shed some light on the code 0x80040211??? and is there a
possibility this is linked to the directx upgrade.
Thanks
David
