I get the following error logged over and over in the system log, in routing
and remote access, OSPF packets received shows as 0, while thousands have
been sent. The ones sent from windows are received by a cisco router that is
already succesfully talking OSPF to alteons and other cisco devices. The
state is shown as INIT since the hello packets from windows dont have contain
any router ID. The message event id is 120 the description is:----- Rejected
an OSPF packet from 10.7.2.17 to 224.0.0.5 because the OSPF data length in
the OSPF header was 44 but the length calculated from the IP Header fields
was 56. ------ I have used a packet sniffer and the packets are the size
windows reports, but no other devices except windows 2003 has a problem with
them.
