I have no idea whats going on and it's eating me. I have created a group
policy and applied it to an ou that contains numerous computer accounts. I
have also created a Security group and put 4 Computer Accounts that I
actually want the policy to apply to in the group. I have set the security
filtering to point to the security group containing the 4 computer accounts.

Now when I try to get those 4 computers to actuall y apply the policy, the
Group policy management tool policy results for those computers reports that
it was not able to apply the policy because of security filtering and the
security group memebrship when processing group policy does not have the
security group that the computer account in listed.

I have tried several reboots. shutting the computers down resetting their
computer accounts and rejoining but it never applies the policy and never
reports that it is even a part of the security group. Am I missing
something?? Is there something else I need to do to force the computer
accounts to recognise they are in the security group anything I need to
refresh??

Going mental help needed thanks in advance

Hi,

Why not just create a sub-Ou for those 4 computers and put them in it
with the group policy you want?

I never use Group Filtering. Found it more of a hassle and it never
worked correctly.

Cheers,

Lara
