I have a couple Windows 2000 machines that are connected
to my Windows NT 4.0 server. Every 5 to 10 minutes, the
computers will pause (freeze) for about 10 seconds. All
of the computers do it at the same time. If I disconnect
one from the server, it does not pause but the others
continue to do it. Does anyone know why and how to fix it?

Sounds like your server is "polling" the computers to see who is still
there. Are you using DHCP for your ip connections?
I think there is a time out or time setting for that.

Sounds like you may have any hardware/software inventory software installed on your network which may be scanning the PCs...
Also, make sure that you install the latest signature files for your Antivirus software and scan all PCs for viruses...
