Windows 2000 Vs. Exchnage 2000

Dear Sir,
I have a problem using Windows 2000 server with Exchange 2000.
The problem is when my password expired (lets say after 120 days) and
changes it, the login will locked out after few minutes, but after some
minutes it will locked out again.
I’m using Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4 and Office 2000 with
Service Pack 3.
Please help me, as it’s a critical problem in our organization.
Best Regards,
Fares

Hi Atallah,

Thanks fo rthe posting. Go thru the following solution:

Options for resolution:

• Check that the user is not logged on to multiple machines.

• Especially if the user has recently changed his/her password on one of
them.

• If some are Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Me on Windows 2000 domain,
account lockouts are a known issue.

• Check that users don't have any mapped network drives at the time they
change their password.

• Check account lockout policy in Domain or Local Group Policy

• Check event viewer logs.

Thanks,

Hi Haribabu,
Thanks for your quick response.
We have a mapped network drives running from a login script, but is it
possible to be from them?
Is it a Microsoft Bug in Windows, if yes, is there any security updates or
patches I can apply them on my PC to be sure that this problem is solved.
Thanks in advance

Fares Atallah
