Is there an indication that can tell me how long Win2K has been up since last boot?
Where can I find that stat?

net statistics workstation
net statistics server
(Run either from a Command Prompt)

I never understood the output of that command. I know I received more than
600kB and made more than 3 writes and 54 reads in the past 2 days! It must
be counting something more specific, but what?

In answer to the OP's question, this line from "net statistics
workstation" appears fairly self-explanatory:

Statistics since 9/29/2006 8:29 AM

8:29 is when Windows started.
