Windows 2000 sp2, sp3 and sp4 hang my system

Doug Ritschel

Windows 2000 sp2, sp3 and sp4 hang my system. I installed one at a time,
booting up in safe mode after installing each and removing. Currnetly have
sp2 installed. THe splash screen gets past eight bars and hangs. Any ideas,
aside from avoiding MS products?

aside from avoiding MS products?During update: shut down anti-virus software. If you are doing an offline
update be sure your net is down. Some people disables some windows2000 /XP
services (like telnet service, messenger...) so they get a more secure
system. Wait doing so until all SP´s are successfully installed. Good luck!
