When trying to install Win 2000 Pro, I get to Setup is
copying files to 100%. Setup is restarting your computer.
Remove any floppies from the A drive. Done!
Then it boots from the CD-ROM again and again and starts
each time from Setup is loading files...Setup is starting
W2000...Processing info files.... Welcome to
setup........F8 I agree.....Delete Partition...Format
Partition.......Setup on NTFS........Examine
Disk......Checking Drive C.............Creating List of
files to be copied......Setup is coping files.........100%
Restarting Computer Remove A...........then it begins
again and again and I get nowhere! If I take out the CDROM
it says BOOT DISK FAILURE INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND RESTART
COMPUTER! So I put the CDROM in again and off it starts
from scratch again and again!
The HDD is a 120GB WD with 8MB cache.
One other thing it says is Couldn't open the boot
partition to check for signature.
I cannot get the OS to completely install. Any ideas???
Thanks
Ruth

Just remove or open the CD during the restart. The CD
fimware migh be old or for some reason windows keeps on
booting from the CD when in fact it should not. Keep the
CD handy as it miogh need more files from it during the
final configuration.
