Windows 2000 server

When more than 2 users connect to our Windows 2000 server we get the message
the terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of allowed logons.

The licensing mode for the product WINDOWS SERVER is set for per server and
was supplied with 5 concurrent licenses.

Surely I should be able to connect more than 2 users

Any help on this rather confusing area would be appreciated
 
Maybe Terminal Services is installed in Remote Administration mode?
That allows for a maximum of 2 concurrent connections, by default
only to Administrators, with no additionaö licensing requirements.

If you need more than 2 concurrent connections, you have to switch
to Application Server mode, but then you also need a TS Licensing
Server and TS CALs for every client that connects.

Check your EventLog for more info. Also check Control Panel -
Licensing applet. Your 5 server CALs are also used when making
connections to shared folders on the server, or authentication, so
you could be out of server CALs anyway.
