Tony

I am trying to connect a windows XP computer to a windows
2000 domain. All I am doing is connecting the XP box to a
Shared folder on the 2000 Server Domain. The domain is
judicial.local and the share is court.
The share on the server is part of a Domain DFS with two
computers.
When i connect I connect with the drive letter F:
\\judicial.local\court
I have tried just \\judicial\court But it doesn't work.
When I click on a file it asks to Open of Cancel

I can click open and it works great but I don't want it
asking me this everytime I try and open a file.
This is for a customer and I need to get this done has
fast as I can. I know why it's doing it but I don't know
how to fix it..

Please help!!

I found out how to fix my problem.

On the Windows XP Pro computer. If you right click on
Internet Explorer and go to Properties. Click on the
Security tab and then click on "Local intranet"

Click on "Sites" and then click on "Advanced..."

After that you will see a place to put something

I typed in (for my test computers) \\test.local

Now it works great. I can click on a file on any share
and it works great. Doesn't give me the Open or Cancel
button. I love it!! =)

Thank you all for your help.

Tony
