Hello,
I have a problem on our domain controller. The error
I am getting is as follows:

No license was available for user MJMCO\JLM using product SMBServer 5.0.

These errors are poping up in my application event log frequently each
for different
users logging in to the domain. The event id is 201 from the License
Service. When
I checked my license application, It appears as if I have plenty of licenses
(45) and I
have 39 people currently using a license.
Does anyone know what could be causing this error ?

Regards,

Dan

I do not know this particular server software, but could it be that the
network connection is not immediately released after a user logs out?

It then could look as if more users are still logged on than the license
permits.

This was an irritation in improperly configured older versions of NetWare.

Just an FYI for this group. I think I fixed my problem.
My license on the server was set to "Per Server" and I
changed it to "Per Seat". So far so good.
