My windows 2000 server has shut off twice now in the last
week. I'm thinking that a user was connected via term
serv and he went to log off and he clicked on the
start/shutdown, as apposed to the Start/logoff. I'm not
sure if this is why the server was off this morning. The
server is locked up, so I'm sure someone did not
physically turn it off. I'm wondering if anyone has any
ides, maybe what to check what to look for.

Thanks for any advice you may be able to offer.

You should be able to remove the shutdown option from the
Start menu. Can't remember offhand where to do this but if
you search google it should be fairly easy to find.

Try looking in the Event Log (security log) on your Server
and if you have it setup to record logons, you should be
able to identify which user/machine connected just before
the system shutdown. Look up the System Log and figure out
when the Server went down and you should be able to figure
who did it.
