I have a Windows 2000 Server running AD.
The past few days i noticed that the server has re-booted
intself 2 times.

Could this be a power supply issue??

In the past, users werent logging on to this domain. They
were logging on locally and accessing resources on the
server through mapped drives.
In the past couple of weeks i have started logging on
users to the domain. Could that have anything to do with
the server rebooting??

Hy Greg

Check the eventlog carefully. If there is a written dump, it may be no
powerproblem.

If it's a hardware from HP or Compaq you may find some inside Logs (Events)
on the control panel of the Server.

It is a dell power edge 2500 server.
I wish i could check the event viewer, but the problem is
nothing is showing up in there. I wasnt working with this
company when the server was originally setup. Is there a
way i can reconfigure the event viewer so i can see the
events that are going on in there?

Thanks,
Greg

Hello

Is the Eventlog service up and running? or disabled..?
- If not, you better start that and set to automatic...
- otherwise, check the options in eventviewer. Maybe something is faulty set!
