Windows 2000 Server not shutdown/restart

I am running a Windows 2000 Advance servet, it was run
perfectly but from last week i was try to shutdown and
restart the PC from control pannel, it doesn't work and i
have to shutdown the server manually through button and
its effect on my server please help me out to configure
this problem why my server not shutdown or restart.

Would appreciate any help on this matter. Thanks

Hi,
Try to load windows 2000 in the safe mode and shutdown
properly at safe mode.
Next try to boot normally and try to shut down normally.
