I have Windows 2000 running on a P4 2.4ghz CPU with 1GB of
Ram and a 80GB HD.

All has been running well for a couple years. I made two
changes and the wheels have fallen off since.
I purchased a new copy of Office 2003 and installed it
along with the Contact Manager. I also purchased a APC
UPS with a USB connection. My system crached in the middle
of Dec. because of my vacation schedule and the holidays.
I just left it sit. When I returned 1/2/04 and did a
Recovery with the Windows 2000 CD and the Emergency Repair
Disk. I had to install the patches all over again.

Being curious I reinstalled the APC UPS software. The
system crashed again. I did another recovery and
reinstalled the patches.

Everytime I reboot it ask to install the Contact Manager
and when I insert the CD it says I don't have the MS
Current installation software. So for the time being
everything works except my outlook email and outlook
express email and the contact manager. I get the
following error message when trying to access MS Outlook a
missing or corrupt "MAPI32.DLL". What is the best way to
resolve the installation errors? I think I can find a copy
of MAPI32.DLL somewhere and replace the corrupted one.

At the current time I have upgraded my virus software and
have done several virus scans. That doesn't appear to be
the problem.

Excuse me, from following some of the other links here I
believe my problem is closely related to the SP4 Update so
I'll follow that thread and see if this can be resolved.
