Can Terminal Service be loaded onto a Windows 2000
Professional machine?

Thanks and Happy New Year!

The TS client: yes. The server: no.
If you want to connect to a W2K desktop, you'll need pcAnywhere, VNC
or NetMeeting.

Thanks Vera.

Please forgive my lack of knowledge about Terminal Service
but just a few more questions; 1. Is TS client an option
on 2000Professional installation? 2. Is access
bidirectional, can the client access the TS server
desktop? Thanks! Terry

1. Windows 2000 Prof has no option to install TS client as part of
installation process. Moreover, new versions of client software are written
more often that server ;-)
It is good way to download lastest client software from MS site and put it
on the share in network
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/rdclientdl.asp

2. I did not completelly understand what you'd meant by "biderectional". But
yes, client can access server desktop as well you can make dedicated
connections to particular server application. In any case, "desktop
connection" is main connection method in MS TS (for more sophisticated
options you should check Citrix Metaframe software -- it's really cool)
