Does Windows 2000 Professional come with an e-mail server
program. If so how do I find out aboit setting it up.

If you mean a simple SMTP service, yes. If you mean a complete e-mail
server with mailboxes etc, no.

The SMTP service is installed as an IIS component. Control Panel ->
Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components -> Microsoft IIS
Services -> SMTP Service.
