Hopefully someone will be able to help me here. I have
been using Win2K Pro for some time now. I have
occaisionally had to do the ol' partition and format
routine just because of clutter. But lately I've been
running into a new problem. When I attempt to install
Win2K Pro, I get a stop screen. It doesn't matter how I
do it, if I have the BIOS boot from the CD or if I use the
start-up floppies. Nothing seems to work. Here is the
message:
STOP: 0x0000000A
(0xFFBE0000,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x80444C220
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Address 80444C22 base at 80400000, DateStamp 384d5a76 -
ntoskrnl.exe
I have two different 2000 install CD's, and I've tried
them both. I've also disabled all DMA and shadowing
features in the BIOS that I can find. I've also replaced
all the components in my machine one by one. It's not
even running on the same processor, motherboard, or video
card anymore. even a basic config. floppy, video, ram,
processor, cd, hard drive still messes up. What's the
deal here? I would like to have a computer again!
