Do these platforms have problems being networked together
via a hub? The host computer is running Win 2000 Pro and
the client is running Win XP Home yet no matter what I've
tried I can't get the Win XP box to go on the internet or
even see the network through the Win 2000 Pro host. All
the other systems on the network connect just find though
they are running Win 98. I know the network cables and all
other hardware is correct because I can connect a Win 98
machine to the same network cable and it works just fine.
Is there any kind of solution for this problem? I'm lost
here.

All versions of Windows can network with each other via a hub.

I assume that you've set up Win 2000 Pro as an Internet Connection
Sharing host. Run the Network Setup Wizard on XP Home and tell it
that the computer connects to the Internet through another computer on
the network. If you tell it that the computer connects to the
Internet through a hub, it won't work.
