My Windows 2000 PC is stuck at "Memory Clock" during booting - HELP?

I have a PC which was working fine until I took out a Linksys 100x
EthernetFast card out of the system since I was not using it. I use the
built-in LAN card on the motherboard - an A-Bit motherboard.

When I tried to reboot, the system got stuck at the point where it states
"Memory Clock" right after it has checked the memory.

I have replaced the memory in the system just in case the memory was going
bad - it did not help.

I have reset the BIOS by re-setting the jumper on the board - that has not
fixed the problem.

I have not been able to get into the Setup mode by hitting DEL as the system
says.

What is going on? What can I do to fix this problem??

Thanks,

Press F8 during the early boot phase, then boot into Safe Mode
and uninstall the LinkSys driver.

You have a hardware issue not related to Win2K.
You need to post in an Abit user group.
Try this one:
alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.abit

Sounds like the assembly and or peripherals (such as k/b and mouse)
connections are wrong.
