Windows 2000 password reset

the systems will not accept my password. It may have
expired, or been changee without my knowledge. I cannot
get passed the password screen.

Question: How do I get access beyond the password screen?

Can I reset the password and get access?

windows 2000 is a very secured operating system. There are
few tools available which can help you reset your
password. Is your drive formatted using FAT or NTFS?
Use NTaccess from http://www.lostpassword.com/windows-xp-
2000-nt.htm

Hi,
As you may already know.... you can rename two 'sam' files (in two locations) to delete the record of passwords, HOWEVER IF you encrypted any of your files (that associate with the user name you cannot logon with currently) you will NOT be able to access those files. period.
Feel free to contact me for the two 'sam' file locations and I'll check my notes.
