Ok, what alarm? the single beep at normal bootup or some other
proprietary alarm that that system's manufacturer has included in the bios?
Some bioses sound an alarm if the bios's hardware monitor detects a faulty
fan, a CPU running below it's designed speed, etc..
In most cases, if a bios sounds a specific alarm sequence, the culprit
can be read by consulting the bios's data in the monitoring section. The
system's manufacturer has a manual available that will get you the specifics
as far as alarm error codes and actions to take.
