Hi:

After installing SP4 of Windows 2000, I have performance
problems with the shared folders within my network.
Windows 2000 is configured as stand alone server. When I
issue from my laptop a command like \\server\c$ on the
Windows 2000, it takes too long for the new window to be
opened. Same thing with other shared folders on the W2K
machine.

Can any body help me out with this
Thanks and regards,
Xavier

How many nics in the server? Does an ipconfig/all from the client show that
everything is pointing to your server-IP? What OS on the clients?
