how do i set up disk defrag, scan disk, and delete
unnecessary files? in windows 98 there is a maintenance
wizard, is there an equvilant in windows 2000?

Well Anan,( why don't you give us a real handle)

Go to the Help file and type "Cleaning drives" and "Defragmenting disks" and "Disk
Cleanup wizard"
And so you'll learn something in W2K
there is something that took the place of Scandisk. It is CHKDSK.
There is no such thing as DOS in W2K
It is a Command Prompt
You can get there by pressing Win.+R , or Start > Run... and "type" CMD /K

And you can find out commands by typing a /? after the command
Try it, you'll like it... [ cmd /? ]

This one is a little tough so follow me.
Make a command prompt shortcut on the desktop, right click it, choose properties,
and in the Path box type this,

"C:\WINNT\system32\CMD.EXE /k chkdsk /v" (no quotes) and you kinda got a Standard
Scandisk.
All you need to do after it finishes is type "exit"

And something you probably already knew is when you are in a "Command Prompt" and
you press Alt.+Enter, you get a whole screen, and do again and it "toggles"

Now, I hope you appreciate this vast bundle of knowledge. If you go do something
with productive, I will be very proud of you.
