I've got a cable modem attached to a win 2000 computer
through my ethernet port.... also i have another net
card, that i'm using to hook my playstation2 to, so i can
share my internet connection through using ICS. My
problem is that Windows is blocking certain types of
networking transfers... it blocks me from sending any
Instant Messenger files and it is blocking my Playstation
headset from communicating during games... I called Sony
and they said that Instant Messenger and the playstation
use the same type EDP ports 6000-6999 or such and that i
must enable these ports... How do i do this?? It
sounded good but i'm needing some instructions... any
help??

I imagine they spoke with an accent...

your two types of ports for IP are TCP and UDP. Its going to be one of those
two.

I dont know how to setup ICS, as I use hardware routers, but I thought I
would at least let you know what you needed to be working with.

Try looking at this... it appears to configure ICS for specific ports, like
quake and such.

There might be other ways to go the same thing, though.
