Hi Everyone,

I need to reinstall my 2000 OS and have the license but don't have a disk. I
can't seem to find on the MS site where I can purchase the disk. Does anyone
have a link that will have information?

Thx!

This may help.

You are right, DL, they don't have the disks anymore. Does anyone have any
suggestions? I have a product id, I just need the disk. I know I registered
this product id with MS. If I can get a hold of a disk from someone, is it
possible for me to install it and enter my own product id #?

| Thank you! At least it's a number I can call.

I believe if you can locate a cd of the same version as your original cd
your code will work
either locate from friends or Ebay or similar

PS
registering with MS doesn't do anything for you
I believe only very late versions of win2k had any sort of on line
activation i.e. you could actually install on multiple systems and it
wouldn't be picked up - not that I'm encouraging you to pirate, which I'm
against.

He wouldn't be pirating because he has a valid product key. He just needs
the CD, and any copy of the same version will work.

hello all:

Just a FYI. I have the same problem described here. I just called (800)
360-7561 and ordered a Windows 2000 server replacement CD. It wont ship till
8/31 and it only cost me $30.
