I installed Windows 2000 on a 10 Gig disk. It took up about 2 Gigs, or so.
Now it has grown to 8.5 Gigs. It is growing like a cancerous tumor.

How can I stop it? I have only been using it for 4 months. At this rate it
will take up about 80 Gigs within the next year.

What directory is taking up all the space? Show your hidden and system
files and find the directory that's all giant and if you're not sure what it
is, post back. Specifically check for the existence/size of a directory
named "csc."

"csc" is just 192 bytes.

What puzzles me is (I am in a dual boot situation) P:\Documents and
Settings\Lenny Abbey\Local Settings\Temp. This directory is 362 Megs. Being
a "temp" directory I would expect to be able to erase it every few days, but
it has some important looking stuff in it.

Also, P:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data is 247 Megs.

My WinNT directory is 1.6 Gigs (smaller than I expected). hyberfil.sys and
pagefile.sys are also huge (over 600K).

I see that Recycle is 2.2 Gigs, so I can recover some space there.

If you happen to save a lot of data to your desktop, the Documents and
Settings size skyrockets. I've discovered that a lot of the taken-up
space that had me puzzled was actually the OS reserving space for some
reason that wasn't necessarily in use or filled with data.
