All workstations are running Windows 2000 w/SP4
I am currently looking for the best alternative method of
configuring a secure network when we are out in the field.
We do not have a domain currently setup in our office as
we are a using Netware as our authenicating server and a
Win2K Server for windows based applications.
Currently when in the field we have shares with the Guest
account enabled so other users in the field can access a
specific folder on each machine without having to enter
any logon info or password. I was wondering if anyone
knows of any other methods of authenicating to another
machine (Windows 2000) without getting a prompt for a user
name and password? I realize I can setup a user account
for each staff member on every machine, however when a
user changes their password on their local machine it will
have to be updated on every machine in the field.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
