windows 2000 drivers

Windows 2000 will not let me reinstall my printer software and keeps throwing
a error at me saying that I aready have installed the software when I have
uninstalled it. What can I do ?

"Printer software" is very ideosyncratic. Without knowing what make and
model of printer or what "printer software", it is next to impossible to
provide assistance.
