If I am trying to access my domain from My Network Place,
I am getting error messages that "The Server is not
configured for Transactions"

Hi Siddharth-

When you do a NET SHARE command at a prompt, do you see an IPC$ share?

Hi Tim
I tried giving this command and I could not see the IPC$.
Please suggest what should I do.

Regards
Siddharth

Hi Siddharth-

This could indicate quite a range of causes. An unfortunate one is that
this can be caused by a virus inefection. That may not be the case with
yours though.

You can temporarily try re-adding your adminsitrative shares by the command
"net share ipc$" at a prompt.

In the meantime, I would check for virii on that machine with the latest
anti-virus and definition files. Some trojans are not easily detectable
though, so it would be a good idea to scrutinize your running processes in
Task Manager for any suspicious entries. Firedaemon is a commonly used
application on a machine compromised by a virus.

Please repost to let us know what you find.

Thanks a Ton Tim for your great help as per your
sugesstion I tried having latest Updates of Anti Virus and
It was actually a virus attack. Everything seems working
fine now.
