Windows 2000 continuously reboots.

svchost displays a memory exception error.
Displays "This shutdown was initiated by NT
AUTHORITY\SHUTDOWN."

Windows 2000 will boot in safe mode, but I cannot run the
uninstall.

dude, this is the same issue i had. drove me nuts for 10
hours to fix it. if you get the taskbar, click start,
run, type in 'shutdown /a' this will end the shutdown
process and enable you to try to restore your system. if
you dont get the taskbar, good luck, i couldnt get it in
any mode, safe or normal. but upon many attempts at
rebooting in different modes and using different user
accounts, i finally got one that didnt try to shutdown
right away and i was able to briefly get the taskbar and
using my arrow keys with the windows key, navigate to the
run shortcut and then type it in. thats half the battle.
then you must try to restore and fix whatever 'IT' did. i
hope this helps you and others.
