HI Guys,

When I try to get my W2K client to connect to an Active
directory domain I get the following message

the following error occurred attempting to join the
domain "mycompany.ie"

The network path was not found.

I have 2 active directory domains (live & test)and I can
get the clients onto one but not onto the other, the DNS
seems to be setup the exact same way but on the live
domain the dynamic updates don't seem to be happening !

Can anyone shed some light on this for me ?

Thanks,
John

Make sure the client is using the correct DNS server in TCP/IP. Also, in the
TCP/IP properties, on the WINS tab, make sure you uncheck "use lmhosts"
option unless you are REALLY using lmhosts files.
