I have recently added a second Windows 2000 Server machine to my
network which seems to be running fine so far. I can see in both my PDC
and the new server in the AD applet under Domain Controllers. I do
however have a few questions:
1) Is any server in the Domain Controllers folder in the AD
Users&Computers applet that is not the PDC automatically a BDC or does
something else need to be done to establish it as a BDC?
2) All of my computers and users are replicated (appear) in the AD
Users&Computers applet on both my original PDC and the new BDC. If I am
not running DHCP, is there anything else I would need to do before
doing a test shutdown of the PDC to allow the BDC to do authentication?
3) I cannot seem to get the Terminal Services service to start on the
new BDC. Is there some other dependent service or other suggestion
anyone can recommend I try.
Thanks!
