Hi
I am having problems using Windows 2000 backup (ntbackup). I am backing up
to a tape drive. The backup tape model is a Seagate STT3401A. I have set the
backup to run once a week and backup all the files I have selected. All
files have no problem fitting on the backup tape. If you place a blank tape
in the backup works fine. When it runs the same time a week later I get the
following message:
"The operation was not performed because no unused media was available".
I want it to overright all data on the tape and start over again but no
matter what settings I seem to put in the same error occurs. If I format
the backup tape so it is blank again, the backup works fine but I shouldnt
have to do this to force it to overright all data on the tape.
Can anyone help me with my problem.
Thanks
Adam
