Windows 2000 and msdn

Friday, my computer which had a 1GHZ processor was working fine and I
installed both Visual studio 2003 and MSDN. MSDN failed the installation
and now it is slower than my other 200MHZ machine and it seems to be
always accessing the disk though very slowly. I tried to uninstall MSDN,
but it is not there to uninstall.

I ran a spyware check and found lots of spyware, but even after getting
rid to it, this did not seem to help much. I am running a virus check
right now.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Getting rid of it doesn't necessarily fix the damage. I wouldn't spend much
time with it. I start a clean install.

Thanks, I kind of thought of that, but today it is working much better.
Not really was going on yesterday. The only thing I know of is that I
left it on over the weekend and then I got rid of a lot of spam though
it did not seem to fix the problem even after a reboot, but for some
reason it is working like normal today and the hard drive is not making
so much noise today.
