Windows 2000 and amending the firewall

I am trying to access my firewall options on this version
of windows, and am having trouble locating it. Where
would I find this?
I am also wanting to open 2 specific ports and would like
help on how to do this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Windows 2000 does not come with a firewall. Free firewalls you might
consider are www.kerio.com, www.sygate.com, and www.zonealarm.com

If there is filtering going on on your computer, it would be in the
IPSec or TCP/IP Filtering features. I do not recommend using these as
your only firewall. To make changes to these [e.g. disable certain
filtering], see here:

Windows 2000 does not have a built in firewall like XP does. Possibly you are talking
about ip filtering of ipsec filtering policies which would not be configured on a
default install? What isn't working? --- Steve

Windows 2000 does not have a built in firewall. Have you installed a 3rd
party firewall?
