Windows 2000 Advanced SP4

Ok I am trying to figure out why when I install service
pack 4 on my windows 2000 Advanced server in stops
running. I tell me that my Kernial file is missing.
Anyone run into this problem before

why install SP4? it came out recently...probably loaded with bugs.
I hope this isn't a production system.....

I'd wait a few months...
